5 things that prove the G1 is for old people
I was curious like everyone else to see Google’s product to compete with the Apple’s phone. I saw some movies on Youtube before so I was more or less familiar with the gadget. Here’s what I found
1. The logo is old fashioned, no doubt about it. Just see it close to the iPhone logo. It doesn’t have a chance
2. The keyboard. I’m one of these people who got used very quickly with iPhone’s keyboard and I do not care going back on the old fashioned one. The G1’s keyboard just makes it bigger and uglier
3. The viral ads (on youtube). Here’s a picture of the guy who tells us about the copy paste feature. I don’t need any copy paste anymore
4. The features. It seems to me so far from the ads (correct me if I’m wrong) that the only thing that you can’t do with the iPhone but with the G1 yes (i told you, i don’t need any copy paste!) is see the streets in the google maps. Who looks as them anyway? It’s creepy that they can see so much anyway
5. The last but not the least, the DESIGN. These two images say it all

I came across your blog looking for info about the GPS breadcrumb app for Android. (Which I’d imagine you can say is an old people app, since old people get lost a lot.)
Anyway, it turns out the iPhone can do Google maps street view now too. Don’t you think it’s helpful that you can see the store front of a store you’ve never been to, so you’ll know what to look for when going there?
