How to communicate with your public - YouTube Style
I keep saying that visitors read less and less text on websites. It’s very clear that everyone has switched to visual communication
- YouTube gets bigger and bigger. All phones have now a youtube player for the bored child in us
- The newspapers started to do a lot of short movies in addition to the classical articles. See Wall Street Journal Website
- Book writers post video readings of their books
- Apple publishes videos to train its Cocoa developers
What about our presentations in front of our clients/ audience? Should we drop the text powerpoints?
I was given a link to this presentation today :
In addition to being a very interesting presentation, It’s one of the best example on how less text is more. The images are well chosen, the message is short and it hits right in the core of the problem. The communication is straightforward despite the hurry in which the design was made. I can only congratulate Saul Klein for it!
