New printing media - interactive PDFs

This screenshot is taken from a “new generation” pdf. It’s actually a mixture of flash, video in a pdf like book.

The idea is to have interactive pdf’s in online publishing. Paper + video

While this sort of new “publishing” could work in offline environments, my personal opinion is that it’s completely useless.

In an era where internet connection has become available mostly everywhere (looking forward to global airline adoption!) it’s hard to believe that anyone would prefer looking at hard to navigate pdf’s like this rather than websites.
