British Humanist Association Campain - Using provocation to communicate
There’s a lot of controversy around a British campaign on 800 buses that says “There’s probably NO GOD. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life”. The church answer was, of course, “There’s no proof that god doesn’t exist, this campaign should be stopped”
Here are some photos:

The playfulness of the colors says the message was written by an innocent person while the message says “we don’t care about what god has to say” ( “we just go on living the short life we have”)
Everyone has an opinion about religion, on one side or another, so the messages caused a lot of reaction. They used provocation to spread the message fast and a good visual communication around it
They are also aware about social networking power and:
- You can join The Atheist Bus Group on Facebook,
- You can Twitt about it,
- You can donate to prove you are a good person. Your peers can see that you can still be a nice person without believing in divine powers.
All that for promoting Humanism

I don’t understand why they associate belief in God with worrying and not enjoying one’s life. Perhaps it resonates more with whomever they consider their target demographic, but I enjoy my life quite a bit with my knowledge of God.
I guess it’s my problem with all proselytizing religions — I say, have your beliefs (even if they’re anti-beliefs) and stop hassling me. Let’s all keep our (a)theisms to ourselves, and the world will be a happier place.
